The Grotto, Flowerpot Island, sandy beaches, shipwreck diving, and downtown Tobermory — all a short drive (or boat ride) from your site.
By boat from Tobermory
You can only get to this island by boat. A couple of cruise companies (The Blue Heron Company, Bruce Anchor Cruises) will take you there — either a cruise-only ride or a drop-off for the hike, with pickup later. Both options pass the shipwrecks, and both companies can pick up guests directly at Happy Hearts Park.
8 min drive
Tobermory is home to two national parks — Bruce Peninsula National Park and Fathom Five National Marine Park. The Grotto and Indian Head Cove (both at Cyprus Lake) are the standout sites, with several hiking trails and swim spots. A parking reservation for the Grotto is recommended.
2–3 min drive
Part of the National Park, with hiking trails including the start of the Bruce Trail, a lookout tower over Georgian Bay, a film about the area, and a gallery/museum on local wildlife and heritage.
We're on Cape Hurd Road just off Highway 6 — 2.4 km from the Chi-Cheemaun ferry dock and a few minutes from downtown Tobermory and Little Tub Harbour.
